Sidebar & Navigation

The sidebar is your starting point for everything in Clarive — switching workspaces, creating entries, browsing folders, and accessing settings.

From top to bottom, the sidebar contains:

  1. Workspace switcher — switch between your workspaces
  2. New Entry button — create a new prompt entry (highlighted in your workspace's accent color)
  3. Dashboard link — overview of recent activity
  4. Folders — your folder tree with entry count badges
  5. Footer — invitation bell, Trash, Settings, Docs link, and Super Admin (if applicable)

Switch workspaces

Click the workspace name at the top of the sidebar to switch between workspaces. Each workspace has its own entries, folders, and settings.

Create a new entry

Click the New Entry button near the top of the sidebar to start a new prompt entry. You can also reach the library by clicking All Prompts below the folder tree.

Browse your folders

Folders appear in the middle of the sidebar. Click any folder to see its entries in the library view. A badge on each folder shows how many entries it contains (including entries in sub-folders). You can drag and drop folders to reorganize them.

At the bottom of the sidebar you'll find:

  • Invitation bell — a notification badge appears when someone invites you to a workspace. Click it to accept or decline without leaving your current page.
  • Trash — view and restore deleted entries
  • Settings — workspace and account settings
  • Docs — opens this documentation site in a new tab

Super Admin users will also see a Super Admin link for managing workspaces, users, and AI provider configuration.

Resize or collapse

  • Resize — drag the sidebar's right edge to make it wider or narrower.
  • Collapse — press Ctrl + B (Cmd + B on macOS) to switch to icon-only mode. All items remain accessible via tooltips.

Clarive remembers your sidebar width and collapse preference between sessions.

On mobile

On smaller screens, the sidebar becomes a slide-over panel that opens when you need it and closes when you navigate.
