Editor Actions & Metadata
The Actions and Details tabs in the editor sidebar give you quick access to saving, AI tools, metadata, and entry management.
Save and publish
The Actions tab has buttons to:
- Save — save your current changes as a draft (
Ctrl+S) - Publish — take a snapshot of the current tab and make it the live version (
Ctrl+Enter) - Undo / Redo — step through your editing history
Use AI tools
The Actions tab also includes AI-powered tools (requires an AI provider to be configured):
- AI Enhance — opens the AI Wizard in enhancement mode, where you describe what to improve and the AI generates a refined version with suggested changes you can selectively apply.
- Generate System Message — automatically creates a system message based on your prompt content.
- Decompose to Chain — splits a single prompt into a multi-step chain. Only available when your entry has one prompt.
- Playground — opens the test matrix where you can run your prompt against one or more AI models, compare outputs, and evaluate results.
Manage entries
Use the more actions menu (⋮) in the Actions tab or on entry cards in the library to:
- Duplicate — create a full copy of the entry (content, system message, and tags) in a folder you choose
- Move to folder — relocate the entry to a different folder
- Share — create a public share link (only available for published entries)
- Move to Trash — soft-delete the entry (recoverable for 30 days)
Favorite an entry
Click the star icon in the editor header to mark an entry as a favorite. Favorites appear in a dedicated section in the library for quick access.
Organize with tags
In the Details tab, type a tag name and press Enter to add it. Clarive suggests existing tags as you type. Tags appear on entry cards in the library and can be used for filtering.
View metadata
The Details tab shows:
- Entry ID — click Copy Entry ID to copy the unique identifier to your clipboard, useful for API integrations
- Created and Modified dates
- Created by — the user who created the entry
- Folder — the current folder, with a Move button to relocate it
Track activity
The Details tab includes a collapsible activity timeline showing every action on the entry — created, draft updated, published, version restored, moved to trash, restored, and deleted. Each event shows who performed it and when.
